Description: Detail of a bas-de-page scene of a beaver, pursued by a hunter with a horn and an axe, biting off his testicles to dissuade the hunter (the testicles of beavers were thought to have medicinal properties, and according to legend a beaver, when chased, would detach them). 
Origin: England (London/Westminster or East Anglia?)
